Impromptu Productions are an emerging theatre company made up almost entirely of Bristol University students and graduates, all with a keen interest in and passion for the performing arts.

Founded in 2013 by Edouard Gallais and Gavin Dale,  Impromptu Productions like to specialise in bringing, along with new writing, the undiscovered gems of the musical theatre world to a new and wider audience. We have produced several shows in the Bristol area to much critical acclaim, including a piece of new musical theatre by our founders, '1983'.

In 2016 we bought the cult-classic 'Reefer Madness' to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for it's Festival premiere. The work had never been performed for the Fringe audience before and therefore it perfectly fitted to our ethos.

We have several other works in the pipeline, mainly two new writings - a musical and a song cycle, both of which will explore themes that are becoming increasingly important in the time in which we live.  We aim as a company to challenge audiences with inventive material that surprises, excites and often pushes the boundaries.

The company is now run by  Edouard Gallais and Harry Loble.
